Message From Ian (November 2005 Website Launch)
Hi Everyone and thanks for coming to the new site! I hope you enjoy checking out some of these new songs and video clips. Some better ones will be available shortly, so come back soon if you can!

Musically, things have really been coming together for me in the past few months. The first day I picked up this instrument, I knew it fit me better than anything ever has, as a musician and a composer.

The double neck has suddenly allowed me to play a lot more of what I tend to hear in my head - a lot of simultaneous, overlapping melodies, chords, and rhythms, with a harmonic richness that simply cannot happen on a standard guitar. And in the process of figuring out ways to play all of those parts that I hear at once, I've discovered some new sounds and techniques that are pretty unique as well. I've definitely got a lot of practicing ahead of me, but I'm really excited with the results so far, which you can check out on the music page.

It's a wonderful thing to find that place in the world where by doing what you love, you are contributing something that no one else could contribute. I sincerely hope that each of you finds your unique place like this, whatever it is--or maybe you have already. In any case, here is what I have to offer for now--I hope you enjoy it, and if not, that's ok too ; ). Write me an email and let me know what you think about this or anything else, I'd love to hear from you!
